Yanbu Industrial City
Yanbu Industrial City (YIC) is an industrial city megaproject set to position KSA as a global industrial and energy hub.
The city is located on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast and hosts major light and heavy industries. Managed by the Royal Commission in Yanbu (RCY), the city provides a high-quality, livable community, for people to live and work on an area of about 185 million square meters. The city features diverse residential units as well as major educational institutes, schools, health clinics, retail outlets, restaurants, sea waterfront and public parks.
Alpin was appointed as the sustainability consultant advising on the LEED compliance for the very first LEED Existing for Cities Certification in KSA and contributed to its successful Gold Certification by managing the submission process.
